In March 2014, I collaborated with Tucson-based artist Natalie Brewster Nguyen for her pink balloon project in the Sonoran desert (Arizona, USA). Natalie uses differently colored birthday party elements to create haunting installations about childhood and its challenges. The Pink Project was also the birth of the family portrait series in which Andrea Zittlau and I will meditate on traditional family values (and their portrayal in photography) to eventually twist those values to create images about the (im)possibilities of family life.

Thanks to: Natalie Brewster Nguyen, Sula, Faffs, Jo, Andrea, Luan and Luna.

Special thanks to Olympus for providing the OMD EM-1 for this project.
