Fun portrait session with Jonathan Goe

After some traveling here and there I had to leave after just one day home. But it was to Zingst!! So all was cool...

I was called over for a photo gig for a full day during the Lichtertanz der Elemente 2018. I was surprised to see an old friend of mine there at the booth! Jonathan and I met some time back and we always greet in a loud manner. I always forget how quiet people can be in East Germany...

Anyway...

During the day there were some breaks in between and I have, of course, used those moments to mingle with my Olympus stand neighbours and take their portraits! We have gone through different light setups. But one in particular I stumbled upon:

We brought some light back in with the Silver Sunmover (Sunbounce) and used the Black hole Sunmover to remove any unwanted objects in the background. The light was on the left and right of my face and, leaving that little bit of space over my head, it created some spot light on my hat.

What do you guys think? It was a super easy setup and it gave some awesome shots! Would you try this as well? If so, please share the results with me! I would love to see how this works for others
