I went to see an exhibition here in Rostock held by Victor, a Syrian photographer who recently moved to Rostock. The exhibition can be found in Studio7 on Grubestrasse 42. So put on your shoes and check out his work!
I have seen some of his work which I truly find inspiring. And he best represents a saying I heard once in Egypt from Assam, a Sahara beduin driver:
"it's not the car that drives the driver, but the driver who drives the car"
And from what I have seen in his gallery, he is one of the very few who doesn't need expensive gadgets to give life to artistic pictures. He uses what the surroundings offer him, he models the objects to his needs.
He is, like very few children photographers I have seen so far, able to capture those eyes in motion of our most precious ones. He has developed and refining the art of emotion photography. Remind you of anyone?
Keep up the awesome work Vic!
